Celebrations

With the driveway all cleared and the vehicles back in the garage, we quickly loaded the car with presents, pizzelles (I made while Bob worked on the driveway), and leftover mittens, hats, socks, and toys (items left from when the kids visited last) and headed for Ryan and Lisa's house to celebrate Hannah's birthday.

It sure is nice to be able to drive all the way to the back of the house and park again in the garage. Bob had already backed out and the garage door was on the way down when I took this picture.

Lisa had made a delicious dinner for everyone. Little Hannah wanted strawberry shortcake for her cake, so Lisa made pound cake which was wonderful!!

Hannah liked her black and white horse that we gave her. She named it Sarah. Hannah's other grandma, Vanessa, was also there and gave her an even bigger black and white horse. Hannah was so excited because now she has a family of horses. She already had a big white horse. Hannah is in to families. She groups her toys so they all have a mommy, daddy, and children. So, she really liked her gifts of horses because now they are a family.

After all the presents were opened we all headed to the church for the children's school Christmas program. The children did such a great job. They learned their parts and didn't miss one line.

Matt (shepherd), Ryan (inn keeper), and Madeline (Mary)

Grace and Grandpa waiting for the program to start.

The grandmas (Cecelia and Vanessa) were very proud of their grandchildren. They did a great job!

Madeline sang two song during the program and she sang loud and clear. The video below is Madeline singing Away In a Manager, but some of the words were changed to go along with the play the kids were doing. She sang so sweetly.

We had such a fun evening together. By the time we got home, I was too tired to blog.

"I have families of animals too, grandma. Maybe Hanana takes after me."

The kids really did do a nice job last night. They have been working on it for a long time.

Madeline came home last night and said she had to get to bed early because her head hurt from all the singing. We didn't get home early thats for sure. She did go to bed right away though.
