I sure enjoyed being on vacation, but now I'm back to the real world and working. Of course, I've got work stacked to the ceiling and I'm not sure what year I will get it all done. But, I thought I would just answer some of the questions that were left for me on some of my blogs now that it is the weekend and I have a little time.

Lori,
No, I'm not walking outside in the snow. I do most of my walking on the treadmill in the winter. I'm anxiously waiting for more snow and time off work to use my new snow shoes.

Cathy,
Maybe you'll be surprised one of these days! Natalie's blog address is: www.iamnatthebrat.blogspot.com

Tina,
My cookie press is an old Wear Ever with a trigger you squeeze which makes my hand very tired. My spritz cookie recipe doesn't call for cream cheese. Will you share your recipe? Sounds good! I am anxious to hear about your celebrations with your daughter and granddaughters.

Rachael,
I started out with one cookie, and I only ate one at a time. Jack went into the root cellar and got potatoes for me when you all were here.

Lori,
You enter the root cellar very carefully. Eventually we will have stairs.

Lori and Rachael,
O.K. I tried a bite of the parsnips and I don't like them!

Natalie,
Lola chases critters but hasn't ever caught any. She's too slow.

Marlie,
Good to hear from you. Tell Andrea and Kirk hello.

V,
Thanks for reminding me. I wasn't sure what year we got Punkin, so I was trying to remember events happening when we got her and that's how I came up with the 8 1/2 years. But I think you put the timeline together more accurately.

Rachael,
I removed the picture of the New Year's Baby and Father Time because it was just too much.

I will be checking the mail daily. I already have Natalie's blog linked to mine. But thank you.

The caterer for our Christmas party last year made garlic braised root vegetables (parsnips, beets, sweet potatoes) as a side dish and everybody LOVED it. I'm sure it was drenched in olive oil and garlic and spices, but the parnsips were really good. I've never actually made them myself.

I'll email you my spritz cookie recipe. Ask Rachel to email you my email address and I'll be glad to type it in.
