We have been enjoying fresh corn from the garden this week. It will be a week or so before we start the freezing of the first batch of corn. Bob plants corn every two weeks so once the corn is ready to eat we have fresh corn until frost unlike most farmers that only have one planting of corn and within a few weeks the corn is history.
All the kids enjoyed eating corn for lunch, but Matthew really likes corn!

Nothing is better in the summer than fresh picked corn!
Nat and I picked corn from the farms garden today and we made some for dinner over at Rach's house with the kids. It was really good, but her kids wanted it cut off the ear.
They plant corn 3 times so we get it 3 different times in the summer. I missed the first crop because I was in OKC.
I am with Matthew!!! We could have a corn eating contest (post braces for me). LOL. YUM!!
I remember many weekend lunches during August at the beach house when we'd have corn-on-the-cob for lunch and go through lots of ears.
