Bye Bye Sugar Shack

Now that Bob has completed the work on the inside of the house, he has started working on the outside. However, his work outside is limited based on weather conditions. He decided that he should take down the sugar shack since last winter the heavy snows caused part of the roof to collapse and it is an eye-sore whenever you pull in the drive-way.

Bob is saving the boards that he might be able to use to repair the barn.

Bob burns the sugar shack wood that he isn't going to be saving to repair the barns.

I'm looking forward to having the trees thinned out, planting flowers, and a beautiful lawn this summer instead of the collapsing sugar shack in the circle driveway.

What exactly is a sugar shack?

Isn't your sugar shack where you had the big pot for simmering the sap from the maple sugar trees to make syrup?

I bet you are glad to have it down and picture the new landscaping that will be in its place.

Bob does keep busy.

The sugar shack is where you process the sap for maple syrup. It was falling down when we bought the place so we have never used it. And finally the roof collapsed and Bob has decided that it is too far gone to safe it.

I am so glad Bob will be doing a little land scaping this year. One of my favorite things about all your other houses has been the yard. He is so good at it. I'm excited to see what he does this spring.

Does Bob ever get a day to do nothing? He doesn't even get Saturdays off work because he has to preach.
